Wieder in der Bay of Islands, wieder mit meiner Gastfamilie.
Diesmal aber (zum Glück!) nicht auf dem Boot, sondern in einer Bach, wie die Ferienhäuser hier genannt werden.
Eine entspannte Woche abseits des Handyempfangs, in der wir nicht viel gemacht haben. Relaxen, ab und an im Meer schwimmen, manchmal Ausflüge mit der Bobcat machen, einmal nach Russel fahren, ...
Und ich konnte einen little blue Penguin halten und streicheln. Freunde von uns hatten den armen kleinen Wicht auf ihr Boot geholt, weil sein Fuß gebrochen war und sie ihn in die Tierklinik nach Auckland bringen wollten. Leider hat der Kleine es aber nicht geschafft!
I stayed again in the Bay of Islands, again with my hostfamily.
But this time, luckily, in a bach (as Kiwis name their holiday houses) and not on the boat.
It was a relaxed week without cellphone service and we haven't done much, thus the short blogpost. We mainly relaxed or went for a swim in the sea, sometimes we've done daytrips with the boat, once we went to Russel...
Friends of us found a little blue penguin and took him on their boat because his foot was broken and they wanted to bring him to the vet clinic in Auckland. We have had the opportunity to hold and pet this little fella. Unfortunately, he didn't made it and died!
